Common questions

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently and irreversibly removes your account and everything in it — tasks, habits, reflections, any imported WHOOP data, and any stored step counts. There is no separate request to make and nothing is retained afterwards. If you would rather we did it for you, email us from the address on the account.

I forgot my password.

Email us at support@duskbook.app from the address on your account and we will send you a reset link. Your data is safe in the meantime — being signed out of a device does not remove anything from your account.

How do I stop DuskBook counting my steps?

Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → DuskBook and turn it off. Your phone stops counting for us immediately and no further days are stored. Steps are only ever read while the app is open in front of you — never in the background.

How do I disconnect WHOOP?

Open Settings → WHOOP and disconnect. This revokes our access at WHOOP and deletes every imported day from your DuskBook account. Your data inside WHOOP itself is untouched.

How do I turn off the AI diary features?

They are off unless you turn them on. The switch is Settings → Diary insights → Read my diary entries; turning it off stops any further entries being sent. What the AI features do and do not receive is set out in full in sections 6 and 6a of the Privacy Policy.

My steps or WHOOP figures look wrong.

A step count that has not yet caught up with the day is labelled with the time it was taken ("as of 2:15 pm") rather than shown as current — it refreshes while the app is open. WHOOP days run waking-to-waking rather than midnight-to-midnight, so they will not always line up with a calendar day. If something still looks wrong, email us with the date and what you expected.

Reporting a bug or asking for a feature

Email support@duskbook.app with what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. Screenshots help.
